Reviews for Our Waimea - Kamuela B&B
Aaah the Views was Voted"Best Sunset View"by Arrington's Bed & Breakfast JournalConde Nast Traveler"Aaah the Views offers the best of both worlds: cool, starry upcountry nights and just a 20-minute scenic drive to tropical temperatures and a gorgeous beach. Strengths: Spotless, comfortable rooms; stunning views of Mauna Kea; delightful hosts."
"This quiet B&B, just 15 minutes from the fabulous beaches of the Kohala Coast and 5 minutes from the cowboy town of Waimea, lives up to its name -- each of the four units has huge picture windows from which you can watch the sun rise or set, or gaze out over green pastureland to the slopes of Mauna Kea. One unit is a studio apartment, complete with kitchen. Two rooms share one bathroom, and the fourth unit has its own private bathroom down the hall. New owners Erika and Derek Stuart recently took over this B&B and have added a new deck to the stream-side property."
"TIt's a fact: happy hosts make for happier guests and a welcoming place to lay your head. Evidence to the fact is all around you at this cozy B&B beside a babbling stream (in season), where the views are divine from your private quarters, lanai (porch) and from the house's lush lawn. Long on hospitality and comfort, this versatile place works as well for families traveling with kids as for the recently betrothed anxious to get carnal. The former will love the two-bedroom Tree Top Suite (sleeps up to seven), with private deck. The two tow-headed resident young 'uns also make willing playmates. Honeymooners will swoon over the mountain views from the Dream Room, taken from any angle through a dozen windows. The private Jacuzzi and romantic outdoor shower don't hurt either! Every unit here comes equipped with cable TV, DVD, phone, fridge and coffee maker, adding to its overall value. With only four rooms, personal attention - from hiking and beach tips to special dietary requests - is assured."
"This tranquil and pretty stream-side mountain home in upcountry Waimea is lovingly tended by owners Erika and Derek Stuart. Rooms are clean and bright, with lots of windows to enjoy the views. The Dream Room is actually an apartment, with a full kitchen, private deck, and hot tub. The house has a sauna and a yoga room (private lessons available), and an in-house massage therapist as well. This is a popular spot with couples, but is not well-suited to families with young children."
"Love this place. Perfect in-between point if you want to do things in Hilo and Kona. Not too far from the beaches, and Waimea has some killer restaurants! Derek and Erika are amazing hosts! I have fond memories of the breakfasts. We've stayed 3 times over the years and will definitely be back again in the future."
